Family Friendly Hotel

Looking for a family friendly hotel with a pool and a play area for kids ranging in age from 2-6 years old. Will be spending the weekend while we go to the Lion King in April. Need some suggestions to help keep the kids entertained.

Stay away from the pool at the Adventureland Inn at all costs! They add so many chemicals to the pool that it makes the children who swim in it sick and to get terrible rashes. Maybe it would be best to avoid the hotel altogether and stay somewhere else.

We will be seeing Lion King in March and are staying at the Embassy Suites by the river. Our kids are 4-9. It costs around $140 per night but the accomidations are really nice and the ready-to-cook breakfast is free everyday. That makes up for the cost difference. There is a really nice manager reception every evening for 2-3 hours and the food/drinks are free as well. We have three kids so the suites are nice for comfort. The river view is pretty and the corner rooms have more space. Reserve now for April. The pool is alright. The hotel has just been renovated and the zoo/places to eat are close by. Have fun.

We stay at Embassy Suites whenever we travel. You would be surprised how much a free really nice breakfast and free drinks in the evening help save money.

Embassy Suites is perfect. We%26#39;ve stayed there several times the past year and it is consistently an excellent experience. Pool, service, breakfast, rooms, and LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION! Make sure to stroll around East Village going toward the Capital building. The new restaurant at the State History museum is very good and kid friendly. They will enjoy some of the exhibits also.

You should look into staying at the hilton garden inn in west des moines. it%26#39;s right across the street from the new jordan creek mall and all of the great restaraunts. their pool area is amazing! they have a large adult pool, a separate kiddy pool, and also a hot tub all in the same large area! my family and I loved the whole stay and already booked another reservation to go back!
