Can someone please help me select a hotel in Iowa City, Iowa? I鈥檝e been trying to make up my mind by reading reviews on all the possibilities, but that鈥檚 made me more uncertain that I鈥檒l make a good choice! The ratings/reviews for the same hotel can be so vastly different!
It would be nice if it were close to the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics, but not absolutely necessary.
Price, amenities, etc., do not matter; just want some advise鈥?/p>
Thanks!

The Marriott in Coralville is brand new and in that respect should be considered. Easy access to UIHC by car. The Heartland Inn is even closer and very popular, especially on game days but I cannot vouch for its atmosphere or cleanliness as I have never stayed there. As far as downtown Iowa City, the Sheraton is on the pedestrian mall but from what I hear is overpriced for the age of the property but there is something to be said for being downtown near the University campus. It also has easy access to the UIHC. There are a few B%26amp;B%26#39;s very near to downtown (walking distance) with the feeling of a historic residential neighborhood. I have always wanted to try them or have a friend stay there to tell me about them. I would be happy to help with any further questions.

The Marriot in Coralville is an excellent recommendation if you are a non smoker as the entire property is smoke free and it has only been open for less than a year.. It is very easy access as it is right off Interstate 80 at the First Ave exit. Proximity is not much of a problem anywhere as it is a very small metro area. Personally, I would stay away from the Heartland Inns as they are typically older more run down properties but that is just my opinion. There are always quality-price tradeoffs.
Thank you for your input. I appreciate your comments.
