outdoor ice rink, downtown or west side

I am on the road to DM this coming week and was looking for an ice rink to get some a skating workout on. I prefer outdoors, but with a warming house..any chance I%26#39;d find one? thanks.

I don%26#39;t know about outdoor rinks, but there is an indoor one in Urbandale on Hickman. It%26#39;s where the minor league hockey teams plays.

Sorry, you probably have already been here, but there is a fantastic outdoor skating rink in downtown Des Moines, called Brenton Plaza. I believe it is around 2nd and Grand Ave. My son works there when he is home from college, and it%26#39;s been very popular since it opened this winter.
